Good so far
So far so good as the results of the application went pretty well, and the interview with one of the Harvard student turned out to be a satisfying acceptation. Therefore, I have been busy preparing for the plane ticket and accommodation stuff. I think I am prepared for all those obstacles lying ahead and look forward to life abroad. Though sometimes a struggling one, the challenge may serve as once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn not only the knowledge but myself -- to which extent I can endure and work diligently. No one is really perfect. What I can do is to work hard to fulfill the ideal me. What I think I am to be is the one that I have to be.

Working Women fairy tale
It's like a fairy tale early days when women can be accepted to jump into their own career. Until now, women have got a load of seemingly equality. But according to what I have observed and seen from books and theses, it is just so superficial and fragile that women and men are fairly treated.
In my company, my supervisor (female) who works extremely hard just had a really wonderful performance on her product line. But several people simply claimed that it was because of her good looking that appeals those clients to purchase the products, which makes me extremely furious. It was indeed because of her diligence and wisdom that the product line achieved the great success in the market. Those people just ignored the fact and criticized her for cheating with her beauty. Well, if it were a man, they probably wouldn't have said that. What an unfair world!
Also from the book, Lean In, written by Sheryl Sandberg, I get to know that women have their own lack of confidence. Women have also been incorporated into the normal ideology that female can't really achieve that much and have to rely on males to succeed. What a despair. If women don't stop themselves from those things that keep holding them back, who can?
Don't live in that fake fairy tale anymore. Stand out and speak for yourself. Do what you think you should do. Don't care what others think about you. You are what you are.

A Well-carried-out Interview
I have just had an interview with a Harvard student named Kate. Well, I have to say that this is my first experience talking to people from Harvard, and it really hit me like a wake-up call that I am really living in my own ivory tower. The way they talk, the thing they speak about, and the topic that they discuss were all perfectly via logical thinking, correct chosen word and good pronunciation, which made me feel ashamed when talking to them. However, the experience had me think of one thing that our professor J. R. Lee mentioned -- remember to try your utmost even though it is the road not taken. So there I go again, with my utmost. Hope those applications and essays soon come to an end though.

Getting Closer
Finally I got satisfying grades for the horrifying GMAT. Struggling between companies, schools and application, I once questioned whether I'm able to achieve THESE to make my career path a clear one. Though seemed really tough, finally I made it. Now what is left is the essay and application process. Hope they all will be going smoothly and the results come out quite a good one.
It's been really exhausting and sometimes irritating to see those tasks undone and to-be-done. 24 hours without sleep won't contribute any helpful support to the complicated life. The past 4 months has been torments and struggles. I learned, practiced and finished the test. Moreover, I came with the topic for my dissertation and still on the way to complete the first 3 chapters, and what bothers me the most is the experiments that I have to hand in to the professor each week for weekly follow-up. I am proud of myself for the persistence and hopefully, it will continue to thrive with the little luck. Then I'll be getting closer my dream.

Aesthetic and Master Dissertation
It''s been a whole year since i got admitted to advertising master programme in NCCU, but i'm not sure yet whether i should write the essay or just simply give up the degree since i'm determined to study another master degree in the UK, whose curriculum might be a little overlapping comparing to the one in Taiwan.
Well, anyway, i've decided to try finish the essay as soon as possible, and hopefully, i can get the admission to some of the programmes in UK. What I have to do right now is being focused on both of them -- the essay and the cover letter. Whether the result bad or good, at least i've tried hard, and have been much responsible for my future career.
Recently, I've read a book written by the director of Department of Cultural Affairs, Taipei City Government, concerning lifestyle and magic power of it. Taiwan society varied a lot as Taipei City grew into a big, hybrid, hustle and bustle city. The consumption style of people in Taiwan thus transformed a lot, having led some of the traditional industries withering. The main reason is the lack in aesthetic elements. High levels aesthetic knowledge and design make commodities more valuable and irreplaceable, and the creative idea of the commodity may last long and act like an organic compound, being transformed into manifold forms of commodities. What a great view! But most of the Taiwanese brands and enterprises lack this kind of aesthetic perspective. Pity though.
